I began traveling to Haiti as a volunteer in 2007 and moved here in 2010 to launch an organization called GOALS. I don’t have internet on my phone, don’t work on projects late at night or on weekends, and almost always take a real lunch hour. Mostly this has to do with living in Haiti.

Data doesn’t necessarily tell us how to make the problem go away because it doesn’t tell us why the problem is there in the first place. We have to actually get out of the office and look at how the problem is being addressed, not addressed, or not well enough by human beings. Think of the remote controls on your den table!
