Posted in Leadership Development Self Leadership Incubation Helps Self-Reflection In September 2011 I finally identified the root cause. The incubation period was long but finally I understand the real reason why I had such a hard time completing a project in 2010.

This suggests a new type of leadership – one that Jeff Walker and his coauthors have referred to as “shapers”. Entrepreneurial communities can incubate nascent technologies and ventures through accelerator programs and crowdfunding. Only through collective leadership can we meet the challenges before us. Time is of the essence.

News Flash – If you have to look for leadership it doesn’t exist…Today’s post is not going to sit well with many in the leadership profession, but then many of my posts seem to have that effect. In my opinion the practice of leadership identification is simply based upon flawed business logic, and it is make-work in the purest form.

Because the culture at Geneca encourages personal and professional development and there was buy-in from the leadership team, the preconditions for innovation already were in place.
