We want thriving, diverse cities — but we self-select into neighborhoods of like-for-like. If there is something like a brotherhood of man, too much blood has been spilled for one to believe that it doesn't often resemble Cain versus Abel. Witness, of course, the rise of the gated community. But I do call for a revolt.
