I think this works, along with a lot of back patting, training and individual management meetings to reinforce strategy, tweak plans and ideas and gather feedback and information from the staff. If your mentoring and training programs don’t focus on the development of action oriented leaders then you are simply breeding obselesence, and utlimately…failure. In evaluating any relationship in the value chain I’m looking for value, talent, performance, leverage, efficiency, economy of scale, work ethic, integrity, character, discipline and many other traits irrespective of your skin color, age, etc. A sense of entitlement is not a substitute for work ethic and a desire to achieve.

Allows businesses to take a 100% depreciation write-off for investments in certain new business equipment in 2010 and 2011. The bill reduced by 2% the amount of Social Security tax an individual employee would be required to pay. In 2011, workers will pay 4.2% tax on their income (up to $106,000 or so) as opposed to the normal tax of 6.2%.
