In recent months I have observed a decent amount of politically correct discourse on the topic of team building and equality. The gist of the argument seems to be that for teams to be productive, employees have to feel “empowered&# by having an equal voice. I can sum-up my feeling on this in one word… ridiculous.

As the group discussed the various places we’ve all seen politics at play, participants started owning up to their own games. Most of us know people who claim that they “don’t play games” at work… but, as one of our participants rightly commented, saying you’re not political is, in fact, a political move. The candor was refreshing.
