Mine was legendary humorist and media figure Cactus Pryor. His father, Skinny Pryor, owned a movie theatre and entertained audiences with comedy routines during intermissions. Today, when I use nouns as verbs and place business terms out of context to make people think creatively, I’m thinking back to Cactus Pryor.

It started when I asked a mentor of mine what I could do to maintain more control over the classroom and encourage my students to engage in the information. One book I read, "Don't Shoot the Dog," by Karen Pryor, taught me about the power of reinforcement. Luckily, my mentor was able to "talk me down."

Margaret Buj ( Interview Coach ) Always try improve yourself no matter where you work or what your position is. Do informational interviews with people who do the jobs you're interested in, try to get some additional work experience. Particularly at more junior positions. Also, build a strong network and help your colleagues.
