It’s been a pretty good week for fans of excellent communication. On Sunday, the Oscar for Best Picture went to The King’s Speech, featuring a speech coach working with a senior leader (very senior) on overcoming difficulties in communication. On Thursday, an article in the Wall Street Journal described the value of writing coaches in MBA programs across the country. And all week long I’ve been able to see and hear thought leaders from all walks of life at TED 2011 showing that the art of great (and concise) presentations is alive and well.
