IBM’s computer Watson is competing against two Jeopardy champions for three nights this week. After two days the computer has a comfortable lead. I suspect that most humans are pulling for a human to win; after all, what will be left for humans to do if language processing, deep thinking, and even deciphering clever wordplay are taken over by a machine?
