Ron Edmondson

I came into ministry later in life after over 20 years in the business world. Maybe this explains some of why I was surprised when I entered the ministry at how hard churches can be on a pastor. I never knew. My church leadership blog has given me access into the lives of hundreds of pastors. Many are in smaller churches where they are one of a few, if not the only, staff members.

What is it you have to do when you’re not preaching? Must be nice to only work one day a week. I’d like to come see you this afternoon. Since it’s not Sunday I’m assuming you’re free. Believe it or not, I’ve heard all of those. Most are simple misunderstandings. Sometimes people are just trying to be funny. I must admit.
