Reduction in training If we are to adapt to the changes seen in the workplace, however, we need to be able to get the training we need to learn new skills and either return to the workforce or pivot to a new career. Recently a survey was conducted that asked preteens about their long term career aspirations - the top three were sports star, pop star and actor. This is in sharp contrast to those of a generation ago- teacher, banking/finance and medicine. They will admire the celebrity of the individual and feel additionally significant by proxy.
