She introduced me to the Hedgehog Concept from “Good to Great in the Social Sectors,” a supplement to the business book by Jim Collins, comparing the qualities of hedgehogs and foxes. Leadership development became my one big thing. On the contrary, hedgehogs don’t do much chasing.

I’ve had issues with some of the concepts contained in Jim Collins book Good To Great since it was first released. Just because an opinion is expressed boldly, and even when data can be developed to support the opinion, opinion doesn’t become fact – it’s still an opinion.
