Encourage self-expression and diversity of thought. The best ideas can come from anyone in the company so leaders must add to the environment whatever encourages self-expression and diversity of thought. Focusing on profit first would lead to compromising the purpose and sucking the passion and energy out of the organization.

Although I don’t have any hard research to prove it, I believe the vast majority of organizational cultures that are diverse in terms of the gender of their members, will outperform cultures that are not diverse. Women also tend to be more empathetic which increases connection too.
