On June 2, 2011, the interns arrived in Lagos to participate in orientation exercises for the inaugural year of the program. Participating firms are all African-owned (rather than multinationals operating in Africa), mainly small to medium-sized companies, with annual revenues between $2 million and $10 million and from 150 to 300 employees.
