As a management consultant, I often have a courtside seat to the senior team discussions of many companies. Often these situations are accompanied by unwritten peer-to-peer contracts that basically say, "I won't challenge your plans, as long as you don't challenge mine. I've found that I learn a lot by watching the meeting dynamics.
