In 2017 women make up 25% of senior executives in the thousands of companies covered by the survey. And it varies by role, too: Grant Thornton’s survey shows that women are more likely to be the head of a function like HR (23% of CHROs) or finance (19% of CFOs) than CEO (12%), something other studies have also found.
