Supreme Court''s annual term is winding down, with key decisions still to come on gay marriage , voting rights , and affirmative action in university admissions. The notion that Supreme Court justices are effectively legislators with really long terms first occurred to me after the controversial Bush v. Gore ruling in 2000.
