My father couldn’t find work there, the coal mines had sort of run out, and so they moved to Detroit when I was about six months old and so I grew up in Detroit until I was 12, on the southwest side of Detroit, and then my family moved to Indianapolis in 1967 and so I went to a junior high, high school and college in Indiana.
