Scotland’s Future Is Bright; the UK’s Might Not Be

There is clearly something to this; while declines in manufacturing employment have hit the Scottish economy hard, manufacturing has also been in decline as a share of GDP across the advanced economies over the past 25 years. But neither is this the full story. I hope that this is right.
