Mine was legendary humorist and media figure Cactus Pryor. I was 10 years old and wanted to be the Dick Clark of local media. His father, Skinny Pryor, owned a movie theatre and entertained audiences with comedy routines during intermissions. Music programming was important to Cactus Pryor and, thus, to me.
