He took care of the stray cats that seem to make their way to our area, and walked another neighbor’s dogs when that neighbor worked long hours. Both were too young and healthy to leave us. Following the shock of the loss, I have been thinking about the memories we leave behind when we pass on. It was calming and compassionate.
