In the end, leadership that adopts politically correct behavior and thinking places themselves and their organizations at great peril. Leadership is about telling the truth with courage, candor, honesty… and empathy. Milquetoast leadership is inoculable. Great post Mike!

There is a tremendous amount of conflicting data as to whether or not incentive compensation in any form is an effective motivation tool. mikemyatt: A leaders Intellect should not be a depreci. Let me be clear: leadership and diversity should have nothing to do with one another. This blog was recently nominated for Kevin Eikenberry’s Best Leadership Blogs of 2010 , and I noticed recently that Kevin was taking heat from the gender police for having only one woman on the list of nominees.

Or should it be more, to compensate for the likelihood of further depreciation to come? The reason currency volatility is so disruptive to multinational pricing strategies is because depreciation of currencies in international markets affects their earnings in their home currency (USD, for example). There was no good solution.
