The best leaders expend the effort to meet the commitments for practicing any new behaviors they received as “fieldwork&# in our meetings. I don’t believe any followers can respect their such leaders for a long term. I think I have a long way to go to become a best leader. All Rights Reserved.

In 1943 Abraham Maslow clearly explained our hierarchy of needs includes being respected, accepted or valued by others. At the extreme end of the company circle (in blue) are the managers who indulge in what I call “harmful self-interest” when they focus exclusively on short-term sales, at the expense of their people and their values.
