As an example, the marketing assistant who receives a comparatively small bonus when contrasted to that of a sales person feels that his/her contribution is minimized and feels treated unfairly. Why would you ever want the person in charge of corporate leadership, vision and strategy to be a lame duck right from the get go? Furthermore, last time I checked a CEO can always be removed for lack of performance, or moral and ethical indiscretions, so what purpose do CEO term limits serve other than to disincentivize the CEO?
