They are simply meant to foster a spirit of cooperation. Understanding how to lead and motivate groups and teams should not be considered one in the same with creating false perceptions of equality that don’t exist ( Bonus Post : CEOs and Team Building ). That may or may not be the case for all teams, but that is the implication.
